Terms of Use

These terms govern your access to and use of NuCell, a genomic intelligence platform for research and decision support.

Last updated 12 September 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing NuCell you agree to these terms. If you are using NuCell on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Research and decision-support use only

NuCell is research and decision-support software. It is not a diagnostic device, it is not a clinical laboratory, and it does not provide medical advice. Any finding surfaced by NuCell must be independently reviewed by a qualified professional and confirmed in an accredited clinical laboratory before it informs any clinical, reproductive, or treatment decision.

3. Accounts

Some features, including the case tracker, require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Case workspaces are shared with everyone signed in to the same workspace — do not add content you are not permitted to share with your colleagues.

4. Your data and genomic files

Genome files you open in NuCell are parsed in your browser and are not uploaded to us. Only the identifiers you explicitly choose to annotate are sent to our servers and to public reference databases. You are responsible for holding a lawful basis and any necessary consent for every dataset you process, and for de-identifying patient material before entering it.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use NuCell to attempt re-identification of individuals, to reverse engineer or resell the service, to circumvent rate limits or access controls, or to breach the terms of the third-party databases NuCell queries.

6. Third-party sources and attribution

NuCell aggregates public and licensed sources including ClinVar, gnomAD, Ensembl, ClinGen, MyGene.info, Open Targets, CPIC/ClinPGx, Europe PMC and the GWAS Catalog, and uses AlphaGenome for sequence prediction. Those sources remain governed by their own terms and licences. NuCell is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google DeepMind or any other data provider.

7. AI-generated content

Interpretations and chat responses are generated by AI models constrained to the retrieved evidence. They may still be incomplete or wrong. Always check the cited source records before relying on any statement.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Features, reference sources and these terms may change; material changes will be reflected in the date on this page.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NuCell and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any clinical, financial or research decision made in reliance on the platform.
