Privacy Policy

When you open a VCF or whole-genome file, it is read and parsed entirely inside your browser. The file itself is never uploaded, never stored on our servers, and never sent to any third party. Closing or clearing the browser removes it.

When you ask for annotation or interpretation, NuCell sends only the specific variant identifiers or sequence you selected to our servers, and onward to public reference databases and our AI provider. No patient name, file name, or full genome is included.

If you create an account we store your email address and authentication records so you can sign back in. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cases you create store the patient label, clinical notes, tracked variants, evidence tiers and the dated history you generate. Use pseudonymous labels rather than real patient identifiers. Case records are visible to everyone signed in to the same workspace. Deleting a case removes its variants and history.

Annotation queries reach public genomic databases (including NCBI ClinVar, Ensembl, gnomAD, ClinGen, MyGene.info, Open Targets, CPIC/ClinPGx and Europe PMC), our AI model provider for interpretation, and AlphaGenome for sequence prediction. Each operates under its own privacy terms.

Account and case data is kept until you delete it or ask us to. Short-lived caches of public database responses expire automatically and contain no personal data.

Traffic is encrypted in transit, stored records are access-controlled at the database level, and API credentials are held server-side only and never exposed to the browser.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data held about you, and you may ask for your account to be closed. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable period.
